STOURBRIDGE band frontman turned Hollywood composer Clint Mansell has been nominated for an Ivor Novello Award.
The former lead singer of indie band Pop Will Eat Itself, who is behind some of the most celebrated soundtracks of the past two decades, is in the running for the Best Original Film Score award at the prestigious Ivors - for his score for the movie High-Rise starring Tom Hiddleston, Sienna Miller and Jeremy Irons.
The winners will be announced on May 18.
The Ivors, named in honour of Ivor Novello - Britain’s most successful and distinguished theatrical composer at the time they were created in 1956, represent the pinnacle of musical achievement and peer recognition in the music industry.
Clint, whose film score credits include Black Swan, Requiem For A Dream, The Fountain, The Wrestler, Noah and Pi, said on Twitter he was "honoured" at the nomination.
Thank you!!!
