TRIBUTES have been paid to a ‘loving husband and father’ who died after a crash in Kingswinford earlier this week.

James O’Brien, lovingly known as Jimmy, died when his car overturned at the junction of Stallings Lane and Ham Lane on Monday (May 15).

The 28-year-old father-of-four was treated by emergency services, including the air ambulance, but was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a statement his family said: “Jimmy, was very much loved by all that knew him.

“He was a loving husband and father, a caring son and an amazing brother and uncle. He will be so deeply missed by all that knew him.

“We ask that the public and media respect our privacy at this time.”

Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes, from the Regional Collision Investigation Unit, said: “This is a tragic set of circumstances for all involved.

“James’s family continue to be supported by our dedicated family liaison team. I would ask at this stage that their privacy is respected.

“I would like to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the collision and has not yet been in touch with police to contact either myself or my team to help us piece together the circumstances.”
