DETECTIVES probing the murder of Black Country window fitter Simon Johnson have charged three more people with offences connected with his death.

Jack Griffin, aged 19 of The Beck, Netherton, Abbey Hughes, aged 19 of Harcourt Road, Cradley Heath, and Clayton Pritchard, aged 18 of Petford Street, Cradley Heath, were charged with theft. Pritchard has also been charged with assault and burglary.

All three will appear at Dudley Magistrates Court on June 21.

The offences relate to the investigation into the murder of 41-year-old Simon Johnson, who was found at his home address on Cradley Road, Netherton, on August 11 with fatal stab wounds.

Three other people have already appeared in court this week in connection with the case.

Damilola Johnson, aged 18 and a 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have both been charged with the murder of Simon Johnson. They will stand trial in November.

Another 16-year-old boy, who also cannot be named, is charged with burgling Mr Johnson's home on the day of his death. He will also be back in court on August 2.

All three teenagers were remanded in custody until the next hearing.

Detective Inspector Warren Hines, who is heading the investigation, said: "These charges have come as a result of a long detailed and protracted enquiry. If anyone has further information please call me on 101."
