GREEN-fingered residents in Kinver will be doing their bit for charity again when they open their impressive gardens to the public.

The Kinver Open Gardens scheme will be held in the village on Saturday and Sunday (June 24 and 25) from 1pm to 6pm.

Visitors will be able to view 10 gardens lovingly kept to a high standard by keen Kinver horticulturalists.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to Cancer Research UK. The scheme has been running for 23 years and organisers say they have raised around £50,000 in total for a variety of good causes.

Admission is by programme from the Kinver Village Clock Bus Shelter and entry costs £5 for adults and £1 for children aged between five and 16. Refreshments will be available at Kinver fire station between 1pm and 5pm.
