AN investigation has been launched after a stolen car was recovered by police from a unit in Lye.

Officers reportedly swooped on the unit off Bagley Street, Stambermill, at around 8.15pm on Monday (August 1).

Three men, aged 23, 40, 39, and two 29-year-old men, were arrested in the area on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and were later released pending further investigation.

Several other cars were also recovered and forensic examinations are on-going, a spokesman for West Midlands Police said.
