A WORDSLEY convenience store is to re-open its doors tomorrow after a major refit.

SPAR Lawnswood, which has been given a complete makeover, is set to re-open its doors at 7am on Friday October 6.

Dudley South MP Mike Wood will be cutting the ribbon at 11am at the new-look store in Lawnswood Road which will be offering up food samples and the chance to win a new TV or hamper on the day.

Store manager Susan Williams said: “We’re really excited to reopen the store after its extensive refit, and thrilled to welcome back our valued customers.

“SPAR Lawnswood has been serving the local community for 26 years with a dedicated staff who have together clocked up over 220 years’ worth of service.

“We hope the recent refresh will guarantee the store continues to offer the best possible service to its dedicated customers and welcome all to the relaunch celebrations.”

To mark the relaunch, there will also be face-painting in store from midday until 2pm on Saturday October 7.

As well as stocking everyday essentials – the store will have a fresh self-serve Costa Coffee machine, in-store bakery and food to go offering, plus a free-to-use cash machine, Collect Plus, PayPoint and National Lottery services.
