EMOTIONAL health and wellbeing services available across Dudley borough are set to be promoted at a NHS drop-in event at Halesowen Library.

The Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust is putting on the event from 12.30pm until 2.30pm on Thursday, December 14.

Being run by the trust’s community development workers (CDWs), the event will give members of the public a chance to find out more information about improving their mental health and overall wellbeing within a friendly, safe and comfortable environment.

The drop-in – where no booking or appointment is needed – will give the local community information from the CDW team, who will be on hand to signpost individuals and support them in contacting appropriate services and organisations.

Iram Maan, part of the trust’s CDW team, said: “People are often too scared or embarrassed to talk to someone about how they are feeling or any issues that they have.

“We want to change this by providing these people the opportunity to talk to someone in a safe and welcoming environment about the help and support that they feel they need.

“We want to support people across the Dudley borough in maintaining healthy wellbeing and to getting the help that they need.”
