A STOURBRIDGE Church has been spruced up for Christmas with a celebratory Christmas Tree Festival.

St Thomas’s Church in Market Street is holding its annual Christmas Tree Festival from today (Friday December 8) to Sunday December 10.

The church has been packed out with more than 30 Christmas trees, both big and small, adorned with hundreds of decorations and thousands of lights – decorated businesses, charities, schools including Gig Mill Primary School and groups including Stourbridge Fair Trade, Christian Aid and Pedmore WI.

The event, which is free to attend, will raise money for SODA (survivors of domestic abuse) and Dudley MIND - one of the Mayor of Dudley’s charities this year.

Event organiser Val Homer said: “The St Thomas’s Church Christmas Tree festival has become a social fixture on the festive calendar in Stourbridge.

“The festival is a great way to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of St Thomas’s while getting into the festival spirit and ultimately to raise vital funds for local charities.”
