A TEENAGER was taken to hospital after being stabbed in Stourbridge this afternoon.

The incident happened outside the Mercedes car dealership on the St John’s Road stretch of the ring road in broad daylight at around 3.15pm.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said the teenager, believed to be a 14-year-old boy, was taken to hospital with a stab injury to his arm.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Police received a 999 call from a member of the public reporting a group of up to 20 schoolchildren outside the Mercedes dealership in St John's Road, Stourbridge, at around 3.15pm.

"A boy suffered a cut arm which was bandaged by a member of the public who administered first aid.

"The boy was taken to hospital for treatment but is not understood to be seriously hurt."

Enquiries are underway to try and identify the offender.
