A BIG-HEARTED Stourbridge café boss hopes to spread festive cheer to those less fortunate by offering free Christmas dinners to the homeless.
Abdul Qadus, who runs the Station Café in Vauxhall Road, offered up free lunch to school-aged children entitled to free school meals or whose parents are on benefits during the summer to ensure youngsters didn't go hungry during the long school holidays.
And now he's hoping to spread a little seasonal happiness to those sleeping rough who may have no-one to spend Christmas with.
He told the News: "We'll give them a hot drink and hot food. People can come in from midday until 5pm but we'd ask them to give us their names in advance so we can get an idea of how many will turn up."
The offer is a joint initiative between Mr Qadus and Naseer Ahmed who runs ABM Taxis based next door, who said: "It's something we really want to do."
