DUDLEY South MP Mike Wood joined volunteers at the Black Country Food Bank in Brierley Hill this morning (Friday) as part of a series of charitable endeavours this Christmas.
The Food Bank works to help some of the most vulnerable people in the borough all year round but it is particularly busy at Christmastime.
The Conservative MP said: “I am really pleased to be able to spend some time with the wonderful volunteers, who give their time not just at Christmas, but all year round.
“Everyone has been extremely generous with donations for families who find it especially difficult to get by.
“It has been a pleasure to contribute to a number of charitable causes in Dudley South this Christmas.”
Mr Wood also supported this year’s Operation Santa campaign, donating a large box of toys to Blaze Hairdressers in Kingswinford which supports the charity, and dressing up as an elf to give out Christmas gifts at Santa’s grotto in Brierley Hill Market.
