FOUR Stourbridge actresses are set to reprise their roles in the sequel to their last stage outing.

Carey Esthop, Jo Foley, Sandra Harold and Gaynor Whitehouse are gearing up to star in Ladies Down Under for Enville Street Dramatic Society following their appearance in the original Ladies Day - which was performed to great success last year - earning the society a National Operatic and Dramatic Association nomination for best play in the Midlands.

The first play, by Amanda Whittington, saw Pearl, Jan, Shelley and Linda win a fortune at the races and in this outing the four Hull based fish dock friends are set to celebrate their win with a dream trip to sun-kissed Australia.

Being staged at Amblecote’s Holy Trinity Church Hall, the play will run from Wednesday April 18 to Saturday April 21 - with the Mayor and Mayoress of Dudley set to attend the Thursday performance.

Celebrating its 70th anniversary season this year - the society is currently looking to raise funds for new lighting and sound equipment. Anyone able to help can email secretary@envillestreetdramatic.org.uk.
