YOUNG Samaritan Imogen Shuttleworth took the phrase 'hitting new heights' literally - as she abseiled down from a 100ft mountain to push her fundraising tally past the £1,500 mark.
The Stourbridge eight-year-old's latest feat was a climb and charity abseil, down a 100ft cliff face. at Bewts-y-coed in North Wales.
Imogen persuaded seven other friends and family to join in, taking her total fundraising for Birmingham Children's Hospital to £1,535 this year.
The youngster initially wanted to join in BCH's charity abseil down a big building - but she was well shy of the minimum age of 14 so decided to abseil down a mountain instead.
She hopes the money raised will help BCH's drive for new playground equipment.
