FOUR volunteers from Wall Heath and Kingswinford recently travelled to Buckingham Palace to collect Duke of Edinburgh gold awards.
Katie Alliband, Kate Brown, Emma Taylor and James Taylor picked up the honours at a garden party hosted by the Duke of York and Duchess of Wessex.
The quartet completed more than a year's unpaid community and charity work and were thanked by the Duke of York for their efforts.
Following the ceremony, award winners were able to mingle, chat and have pictures taken with a host of invited celebrity guests including comedian David Mitchell.
