MEMBERS of the Mormon Church recently welcomed six missionaries to their chapel in Bagley Street, Stourbridge.

The six visitors will serve for several months and will then be replaced by other missionaries whose task remains the same.

All Mormon missionaries serve voluntarily and do not receive a salary for their work.

They typically finance missions themselves or with assistance from family or other church members.

Many members save money during their teenage years to cover their mission expenses.

At the present time there are more than 75,000 people around the world, from all nationalities, young and old, who are on a two-year mission.
