A MASSIVE 10,000 potentially life-saving emergency cards have been picked up by residents across the Dudley borough in just four months.
Dudley Council produced the credit card-sized In Case of Emergency (ICE) cards for people to carry with them at all times. They include a list of first aid tips and the contact details of a relative or friend of the person who can be contacted in an emergency.
Council leader Councillor David Caunt said: "The ICE cards are free and definitely a worthwhile addition to anbody's purse, handbag or wallet"
He added: "We are pleased to hear how well received they have been so far and we hope this success will continue."
ICE cards are available from Dudley Council Plus, Castle Street, Dudley. all council libraries and area offices, or by ringing the council on 01384 811552.
