KINDERGARTEN kids at The Ridge primary school in Wollaston have been learning all about transport and road safety.
Youngsters at the Gregory Road school's pre-school got to sit in the driving seat of a gritting lorry when Dudley Council highways staff visited.
They also got to take a closer look at teaching assistant Debbie Breeze's tandem bicycle, crafted their own junk vehicles and made car shaped cookies.
Children have also been carrying out their own road traffic surveys in High Park Avenue as part of the initiative.
Headteacher Deb Hudson said: "The children have been involved in all sorts of activities and they've thoroughly enjoyed it. It's been a topic that's really captured their imagination."
