AN inquest has heard how a husband found his mentally ill wife dead at her home in Brierley Hill.
Tragic Marie Mears, aged 41, was discovered hanging in the bathroom of her house in Gayfield Avenue on a day which started like any other in the family home the couple shared with their two sons.
Mrs Mears' husband Andrew told how he dashed home from work on the morning of September 19 2007 after a call from one of the couple's children to say he could not get in touch with his mother.
Mrs Mears suffered from severe depression for around 20 years, at the inquest, on Friday February 1, her husband told how her condition deteriorated during weeks before her death.
Black Country coroner Robin Balmain recorded a verdict that Mrs Mears took her own life.
