A BRIERLEY Hill boxing club has been awarded £7,500 from Brierley Hill Area Committee's capital allocations budget.
Lions Boxing Club, which has over four hundred members, applied to the committee for a share of the money to build fencing to protect the club.
Kids aged from five up to 18 use the club to improve their skills and take part in training for competitions.
Councillor Dave Tyler, vice-chairman of the commitee, said: "I am glad we are able to some way help this club and acknowledge the hard work.
"There are over 400 active members and the boxing coach Bob Dillon has an enormous enthusiasm to help young people."
Lions Boxing Club will still need to get planning permission to put up the fence, which it hopes will be granted.
