YOUNGSTERS at Redhill School in Stourbridge were this week treading the boards in their version of much-loved musical Oliver!

Loosely based on Charles Dickens' Oliver Twist - the musical was running at the Junction Road school on Tuesday February 5 and Wednesday February 6, with youngsters set to take to the stage for a final show today (Thursday February 7).

The school's new head of music Helen Warren said up to 80 youngsters were taking part in the popular show, about a young workhouse boy who falls in with a gang of pickpockets.

She added: "They've been absolute stars; it's my first show here and I'm really impressed."

Tickets are available from the school on 01384 816355.
