Half term fun

FAMILY fun is on offer at museums across the borough this half term.

At Broadfield House Glass Museum in Kingswinford, from Tuesday February 12 to Sunday February 17 there's a free transport trail.

Children can hunt for different types of glass around the Compton Drive museum and make their own unique mode of transport. This runs from 12noon to 4pm.

At Dudley Museum & Art Gallery on Tuesday February 12 and Wednesday February 13 at 11am, noon and 1pm, youngsters can join in Art Attack and make their own sculptures drawing on inspiration from the Robert Bowers exhibition in the main gallery.

Sessions cost £2.25 per child.

From Monday February 11 to Saturday February 16 - running from 10am to 4pm - there's the free tell me a picture trail' where children can search for images hidden in the museum's pieces of art.

At the Red House Glass Cone in Wordsley from Tuesday February 12 to Thursday February 14 there's chance to have a go at making fused glass jewellery with artists Shelagh Swanson and Karl Harron.

There are two sessions a day from 10.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 3.30pm.

Suitable for adults and children, all places cost £5 per person.

The sessions must be booked in advance and children must be accompanied by an adult.

And from Monday February 11 to Sunday February 17 between 10am and 4pm, there's a free glass trail where youngsters can patrol the historic site looking for tools used to make glass and find pieces from the collection.

Entry to all sites is free.
