CAMPAIGNERS for the preservation of historic buildings are urging building owners and residents, concerned by the neglect and demolition of local buildings across the borough, to attend a special meeting.
The West Midlands Historic Buildings Trust is hosting the event Assisting Owners of Listed and Historically Important Buildings' at Blowers Green pumphouse, Peartree Lane, Dudley on Saturday March 8.
The event, which will include an exhibition from local history groups as well as talks from experts, is intended for people to share their concerns over the continual threat to historic buildings across the borough.
Access to the exhibition is free between 2.30pm and 4.30pm. Tickets for the full seminar, which runs from 10am until 4pm, cost £10 and include lunch.
Local history groups are invited to put together a display for the exhibition free of charge. Anyone wishing to register for the exhibition or to buy tickets for the seminar should contact the Trust on 07710 175 386.
