Pensioner airlifted after Kingswinford crash

A WOMAN with a severe head injury was airlifted to hospital following a collision with a car in Kingswinford.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Standhills Road, at 10.30am on Sunday February 17.

An ambulance and the County Air Ambulance from Cosford attended.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "On arrival, crews found a 65-year-old woman who was unconscious following a collision with a car.

"Crews immobilised her using a spinal board and neck collar before flying her to Selly Oak Hospital in Birmingham."
