BIRMINGHAM Repertory Theatre’s dramatisation of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe is continuing to bring seasonal cheer to theatregoers.
The play, based on the timeless tale by C.S. Lewis, kicked off on November 26 and continues to run throughout the Christmas and New Year holiday period up until Saturday January 17.
Leading the ensemble cast are Joseph Pitcher, Bethan Walker, Ben Stott and Amy Brown as Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy - who find themselves transported to a fairytale world after they stumble into an old wardrobe in the rambling country house of Professor Kirk during WWII.
Populated by talking animals, fauns, and a host of mythical creatures - the icy land of Narnia is presided over by the evil White Witch who keeps it in an eternal state of winter.
But the four children team up with the mighty lion Aslan and a battle to overthrow the wicked White Witch and transform Narnia back to its true state begins.
Directed by Ian Brown, it features music composed by Shaun Davey and a set by Ruari Murchison.
