QUARRY Bank Royal British Legion has thanked kind-hearted members of the public who gave generously to its collection at Quarry Bank Fun Day.

Legion members had a tombola stall at the event, which brought in £177 for the organisation which supports current and ex-servicemen and their families.

Benevolent bikers also helped boost funds by taking donations from visitors who had their pictures taken on their bikes.
