ANTIQUES fans are invited to a valuation day with Bonhams at Broadfield House Glass Museum next week.

A team of specialists from the regional branch of Bonhams auction house headed by collectables expert Mark Hannam will be at the Compton Drive museum from 10am on Monday October 19.

TV personality and ceramics expert, Henry Sandon - of the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow, will also be on hand to tell visitors the value of their treasures.

Councillor David Stanley, Dudley’s cabinet member for environment and culture, said: “Bonhams is a very popular and well-known auction house and we are delighted Henry Sandon is coming to share his expertise with visitors. This event gives people the opportunity to learn the value of their treasured items.”

Valuations cost £1 per item and a maximum of three items per person is recommended.

People can take along glass, ceramics, silver, jewellery, toys, textiles, clocks, paintings and other collectables.

The event starts at 10am on Monday October 19 and last admission is at 3pm.

Admission to Broadfield House Glass Museum on Compton Drive, Kingswinford, is free.
