STOURBRIDGE radio presenter Graham Fisher MBE has been appointed as the new chairman of Stourbridge Radio Group which broadcasts as 102.5 The ‘Bridge.

Graham, who is also a keen waterways and glass expert, has taken over the helm from veteran Stourbridge broadcaster and historian Dr Paul Collins.

Graham’s appointment is part of a set of changes intended to develop the station, based at St John’s Church, as the principal provider of community-based radio in the southern Black Country.

He said: ”I am delighted to accept the challenge of this role at a particularly exciting period in the ongoing development of 102.5 The ’Bridge.”

Graham will be joined by new board members Andy Evans (technical) Jez Timms (head of music), Brenda Cadwallader (company secretary) and Steve Jasper (financial).

Chief executive officer of The ’Bridge Alex Totney said: “I am thrilled Graham has chosen to accept this role. He is a man who lives and breathes the Black Country and I feel he is the perfect ambassador to steer this station through its next phase.”
