THE Bishop of Worcester is visiting Africa as part of the Diocese link-up with the Diocese of Morogoro.
Bishop John flew out on to Tanzania on Thursday for 10 days and is following in the footsteps of many teachers across the diocese who have recently returned from there.
During his time he will preach at the Cathedral and spend a night at Berega Hospital as well as meeting other priests and Christians in the diocese.
Bishop John said: “Although I’ve been to Africa many times, this is my first visit to the Diocese of Morogoro.
I’m looking forward to seeing how the Church is growing in their part of Tanzania.
I think there is much we can learn through this partnership and it will be good to share thoughts and experiences. Apparently some of the confirmation service will need to be spoken in Swahili, which will be an interesting challenge!”
