Helping hands call up for growing project in Lye
3:09pm Friday 14th September 2012 in Local
A CHARITY for the elderly is calling for gardeners to join a growing project in Lye which needs allot of support.
Age Concern Stourbridge and Halesowen has taken on an allotment for over 50s but the patch is in need of renovation before planting can take place in the spring.
Task Force Lye, a group of residents who work in community projects in the area, have already been busy on the plot but Age Concern is keen for more people to get involved, both in preparatory work or in tending the allotment when it has been cleared.
Anyone who is interested in joining Age Concern's Gardening Club, or people or companies who can help or donate items for the garden, should call Dionne Whitehouse, Chief Officer Age Concern Stourbridge and Halesowen, on 01384 395534.
