PARENTS with a flair for cooking can submit their top tips for a family dish and be in with a chance of winning a family meal at the Ruskin Glass Centre in Amblecote.

Chris Williams, a former Masterchef contestant who cooks up a storm at the centre on Wollaston Road, wants to encourage parents to let their kids help out in the kitchen.

To guide families in the right direction, Mr Williams has shared recipes for low cost healthy meals on the centre’s website www.ruskinglasscentre.co.uk/cafe and they are available to download from today (Monday August 5).

But to stir up interest he is encouraging parents to send their own recipes to him by Friday August 16 for the chance to win a free family meal at the centre’s cafe.

He said: “It is essential we start cooking with children from an early age to inform healthier choices as they grow older. “There are lots of great local suppliers with superb seasonal produce and getting children involved in both choosing their ingredients to then cook is essential.”

Recipes can be submitted on the Ruskin Glass Centre Facebook page or by emailing info@ruskinglasscentre.co.uk
