A HIGHLY acclaimed and popular Dudley-based choir will be performing a concert in Amblecote next month.
Viva Musica, which features more than 70 mixed voices performing a wide range of classical, religious, modern and popular choral music, will be live on stage at Holy Trinity Church on March 14.
The choir’s membership includes many singers with established musical heritages in the area, performing in church choirs, light operas, and local musical companies.
As well as their singing, an important part of the choir’s membership is fundraising for the local community.
Throughout their time performing together, the choir members have made various donations to local charities including £2,000 to Mary Stevens Hospice, £1,500 to New Cross Hospital’s Deanesly Centre and £2,000 to Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.
All the proceeds from the concert at Holy Trinity, which starts at 7.30pm, will be put towards the church’s 175th Anniversary Church Decorating Fund.
Members of the church are aiming to use the fund to redecorate the entire church in celebration of the 175th anniversary of its consecration.
Tickets for the concert cost £7.50, including a glass of wine, and are available by emailing concert@holytrinityamblecote.org.uk
