GENEROUS Sainsbury's customers egg-celled themselves when supporting an Easter Egg appeal which was launched by both their Amblecote and Merry Hill stores.

Between them, they raised a total of 275 eggs following a week long campaign by both stores which ran until April 1.

The eggs were donated to the children's unit and three long stay elderly care wards at Russells Hall Hospital, Dudley.

In addition to that, another 25 eggs were donated to Sainsbury's ongoing Acorns Hospice appeal.

The Amblecote store also ran an Easter colouring competition for pupils at Brierley Hill Primary School.

They received 119 entries which are now currently on dispay in the store.
