PEOPLE across Stourbridge have been doing their bit for Sport Relief.
Residents at Oriel Care Home in Hagley Road were joined by the Mayor and Mayoress of Dudley, Councillor Steve Waltho, and his wife Jayne, for a sponsored walk around the streets on Saturday (March 19).
Staff at Sainsbury's Amblecote staged a charity Zumbathon in store on Friday (March 18) and other fundraising activities which raked in £4,761.
Workers at Sainsbury's at Merry Hill also joined in the fundraising fun and raised £3,089 after organising a bake off, sponsored leg wax and a visit from Peppa Pig.
Sporty staff from both stores also took part in the Dudley Sport Relief Mile at The Dell Stadium on Sunday.
And Stourbridge schoolgirl Millie Wilson, aged 12, who attends Pedmore Technology College, raised £237.50 after doing a swimathon at The Crystal Leisure Centre yesterday (Sunday).
The youngster, who swims for Haden Hill Swimming Club, completed the fundraiser, which comprised a 5K swim, in one-hour and 45 minutes.
