A SATIRIC look at how future historians might view and report the 21st century will be the main topic for discussion at the next Amblecote History Society meeting.

Andrew Lound will host the unique and rarely presented talk about “21st Century History Studies” to an audience which forms the student assembly in a 25th century classroom.

He will give the ‘accepted’ interpretation of life in the 21st century, with many humorous jibes at the way in which artefacts are interpreted, as well as a possible history of 21st century events.

Lance Cartwright, group communications officer, said: “A great piece of satire that will leave you wondering about life today and how it will be viewed in the future. The evening promises to be most entertaining and thought provoking.”

Meeting on Wednesday, April 13, in The Lehr Theatre at the Ruskin Glass Centre, the group’s talk begins at 7.30pm with an admission charge of £2 for non-members.
