A NEW perspective on the fascinating life of self-made salt master John Corbett is set to be told at an upcoming history talk.
John Hodges will speak at the next Amblecote History Society meeting about the Delph-born major benefactor who would have been celebrating his 200th birthday next year.
The talk will delve into the depths of the local character, with attendees learning why his memory is recorded in Amblecote road names as well as other interesting facts about the local, latter-day celebrity.
Meeting on Wednesday, October 12, in The Lehr Theatre at the Ruskin Glass Centre, the group’s talk begins at 7.30pm with an admission charge of £2 for non-members.
