STOURBRIDGE MP and Business Minister Margot James will be hosting her next Aspirations Event tomorrow (Friday November 11) help young people plan their next steps.

Taking place at The Glasshouse College, Wollaston Road, Amblecote, on Friday November 11 from 4.30pm to 6.30pm – the careers evening is part of the MP’s Raising Aspirations programme, organised to give students chance to network with businesses and organisations and attend workshops to showcase options available for them when they finish their education.

Businesses confirmed to attend include Google, KPMG, Vision Express and Barclays as well as Dudley NHS Group, West Midlands Police, Black Country Radio and Dudley Council.

The event will include 30-minute interactive sessions with representatives from businesses, covering topics such as CV building, apprenticeship schemes, volunteering and the university application process.

Ms James said: “My Aspirations programme is designed to give local students the chance to find out more information about education and career opportunities post-16.

“Whether going to university, becoming an apprentice or training for a job, I want every young person in Stourbridge to fulfil their potential.

“I am very much looking forward to meeting local students and parents at this event, which I hope will be incredibly helpful for them.”
