BRAVE bar staff at the Robin Hood pub in Amblecote hope to boost the coffers of charities close to their hearts after baring all for a cheeky calendar.

Manager Ben Jeavons and his staff - Matt Berrington, Mandy McElvenny, Holly Parsonage, Hannah Easter, Tara Lunn, Leyla Bingham and Ryan Coley - stripped off for the calendar which they hope will raise cash for Cancer Research UK and the RSPCA.

Inspired by the 2003 blockbuster film Calendar Girls - based on the true story a group of Yorkshire women who raised millions for charity after posing naked for a calendar - the team at the Robin Hood hope to raise as much money as possible from the fundraising feat.

Mandy McElvenny, who was among the staff taking part, said: "Both charities do such wonderful work and need all the money they can get."

As well as the staff - a number of courageous regulars also donned nothing but their birthday suits for the saucy stunt. The bare naked ladies comprised of: Julie Bywater, Pam Stevenson, Rachel Chilton, Magdi Courtney, Julie Small and Pauline Jennings.

The men getting their kit off comprised of: Steve McKibben, Steve Smith, Simon Parsonage, Bill Willder, Bob Chilton, Gary Courtney and Jerry Jennings.

Mandy said: "They were all such good sports and a fun time was had by all. It was an absolute hoot.

"The photographer, Max Bywater, devoted all of his time by making us all feel so comfortable and that we were all happy with the photographs. He did such a fantastic job.

"Mitch Neate completed all the art work for us before going to print, and they both gave up their time for no payment."

The Collis Street pub has paid for the printing costs so all proceeds from sales of the calendar will go to the charities.

Calendars are on sale now at the pub, priced £10 each.
