CUSTOMERS and staff at Merry Hill were left stunned last week as the centre treated them to random acts of kindness to celebrate National Customer Service week.

The week involved five days of sharing and creating smiles amongst customers and retailers, kicking off with a Facebook vote to find the best retailer for customer service.

Shoppers gave their vote to The Disney Store and as a reward, staff were given Krispy Kreme donuts to enjoy.

Throughout the week, other acts of kindness included one shopper in Sainsbury's getting his shopping paid for, a customer finding a gift card on their windscreen when they returned to their car, free coffee courtesy of Starbucks and one customer receiving a bouquet of flowers.

Kelly Reed, senior marketing manager at the Brierley Hill shopping centre said: “Here at Merry hill we are widely-recognised for our brilliant and award-winning customer service, and National Customer Service week was a wonderful way to reward our retailers and treat our shoppers.

“Coming to Merry Hill isn't just about shopping, it's about enjoying an experience, and our excellent customer service contributes to this. We hope everyone enjoyed our random acts of kindness as much as we enjoyed doing them.”
