A BRIERLEY Hill based charity has been boosted by an award from Stourbridge funeral directors H Porter and Sons.
The Y Project which helps disabled and disadvantaged youngsters has benefitted from the John Porter Community Fund.
Having been recently created, the Y Project runs from the Silver End Cafe in Brettell Lane and attempts to help youngsters get on the road to independence and employment.
Situated behind the Crown pub on Brettell Lane's industrial estate, the Y Project is a social enterprise which provides work experience and enterprise opportunities for young people.
The cafe is open all week, including Saturday', and also offers meals for OAP's on a Monday and Wednesday afternoon.
