THE borough’s mental health chiefs are holding a forum on Thursday (April 23) focusing on support for children and young people.

Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust’s forum, which takes place quarterly, will run from 11am to 2pm at Insight Carers Café, in Pearson Street, Brierley Hill.

The forum will feature presentations on child and adolescent mental health services - including those for children who are deaf, early intervention in psychosis and maternal mental health from pregnancy through to birth.

There will also be an opportunity to find out more about local services, ask questions and meet with local organisations.

Gill Cooper, chairman of the forum, said: “Children and young people are our future and we want to help them to realise their full potential by offering the best support possible.

“The trust is committed to listening to service users and responding to their suggestions for ways we can improve.”
