As a local branch, Brierley Hill Samaritans is an independent charity that does not receive funds from the national organisation, so has to cover its own costs, with annual branch financial needs being in the region of £20,000. As a branch we continue to work hard to maintain our existence as we believe that it is important to maintain a local branch supporting local people.
July has seen volunteer involvement in Stourbridge Street Carnival where £165 was raised, a car boot sale at The Cross, Kingswinford organised by Dudley Kidney Patients Association resulting in £100 and finally a street collection in Stourbridge town centre which contributed £234. Graham went on to say that he wanted to take this opportunity to thank local people for their generosity and support.
If individuals, local groups or companies would like to consider supporting the branch contact bhsgraham@ icloud.com.
