BRIERLEY Hill blues/folk musician Sunjay Brayne is set to make a welcome return to the Kingswinford club where he honed his performance skills.

The 21-year-old talented singer/guitarist, who has been selling out small venues up and down the country, will be at the Woodman Folk Club on Friday June 17, promoting his Black & Blues album.

Sunjay, who first picked up a guitar at the age of four, is making a name for himself as one of the UK's brightest young musicians - having won critical acclaim for his mature guitar wizardry.

He has also been nominated for a clutch of awards including the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award in 2012 and was voted winner of the Wath Young Performers Award in 2012.

In 2015, he recorded his Black & Blues album in a single day at New Mountain Music Studios with producer Eddy Morton (of The Bushbury Mountain Daredevils).

Sunjay will be taking to the stage at the club at Ashwood Marina, Ashwood Lower Lane, at around 8.30pm. The gig will be his first at the venue in almost two years.

Doors open at 8pm and tickets cost £6 for members and £7 for non-members. They are available from the box office on 01384 560462 or on the door.
