BIG video screened discos have been going down a storm at Brierley Hill Civic Hall, while raising money for charity in the process.

Dudley Council for Voluntary Service (CVS), a charity which supports, promotes and develops local voluntary action, is now managing the venue and has listed the help of Ultimate to help create income for their cause.

Featuring a large stage lighting show and big screen videos from Ultimate’s DJs, regular ‘decades’ nights covering all the classics from the past right up to current day hits are set for the rest of the year.

Ultimate’s Andy Tain said: “It’s just a fantastic night with really great music from across the decades and coming right up to date.

“It covers almost everyone’s tastes and the folk who have been coming along have had a great time.

“Even non-dancers love the big show and screens – the fact that the charity benefits directly is a massive plus point as well.”

As well as the regular ‘decades’ nights, the hall is set to host soul and motown evenings, Club Tropicana 80’s nights and even family discos where people of all ages are catered for.

James Challis, from Dudley CVS, said: “It’s a great venue that has been under used for public events over recent years, so Dudley CVS have teamed up with Ultimate to put on regular nights as well as live tribute bands.

“We keep bar prices fair, tickets are cheap, so customers are delighted and if the charity can benefit from folk having a great time it’s a win-win situation.”

The next events are Decades (Friday, August 5 and 12), Soul and Motown (Saturday, August 6), Family Disco (Saturday, August 13) and Club Tropicana 80’s Night (Friday, August 19).
