A FAMILY fun day is being held at The New Wellington pub in Brierley Hill to help raise money for Mary Stevens Hospice.

Manager Alex Colbourne is organising the event on Saturday August 5 in memory of his mum Irene Colbourne, aged 65, who passed away at the Stourbridge hospice five years ago.

He said: “They were amazing. She was made to feel really comfortable and given round the clock care.”

The free event will run from 11am to 7pm at the pub off Brettell Lane - and will include facepainting for kids, a bouncy castle, raffles, DJs and live music in the evening from the TFI Band.

Proceeds from the day will be donated to Mary Stevens Hospice to help the charity continue to care for terminally ill patients across the borough.
