GAME-for-a-laugh staff at Asda Brierley Hill got gunged in the name of good causes as they helped raise funds for breast cancer charities.

Staff members Carole Burgoyne and Lisa Southall emersed themselves in a bathful of strawberry jelly in a funpacked fundraising stunt on Saturday September 11, while former Stourbridge MP Lynda Waltho turned out to pour pink blancmange and old spaghetti over them.

The fun day, which raised £314, was part of the supermarket chain’s long-running Tickled Pink campaign - which in Brierley Hill alone has raised more than £6,000 for Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Campaign this year.

Lynda Waltho said: “It is due to the efforts of campaigns such as Tickled Pink that money needed for research into the causes and treatment of cancer is invested to help reduce the incidence of this disease and to ensure people come through their treatment well and with a healthy life to look forward to.”
