RESIDENTS in Chaddesley Corbett are being asked to comment on a draft neighbourhood plan that could help shape their future development.

The plan, which was submitted by Chaddesley Corbett Parish Council, will now undergo a six-week publication period to allow residents and interested parties to comment before being considered by an independent examiner.

The parish council has been progressing its plan for the last two years and has now formally submitted it to Wyre Forest District Council.

The plan sets out policies to guide development including site specific policies in relation to the former school site within Chaddesley Corbett village.

It also focuses on the provision of housing to meet local needs, community facilities and the design of new development within the parish.

Public consultation has already taken place but the publication period is the final opportunity for residents to comment on the plan.

A referendum will be held in September to determine whether the district council will adopt the plan.

All comments on the plan must be received by the district council by 5pm on Tuesday, May 27.
