THE first meeting of 2014 was the AGM and was very well attended.
Leader Anne Harris opened the meeting following our short service.
Anne read out the annual report of the branch’s activities for 2013 and treasurer Jan Woolley gave a very comprehensive financial report and distributed copies of the accounts.
Branch officers for 2014 are: Leader, Anne Harris; secretary, Audrey Walton and treasurer, Jan Woolley.
All committee members agreed to remain in office.
The business of the meeting went smoothly as usual, and we all look forward to working together in 2014 for the good of the MU and its very worthwhile projects.
The next meeting will be on February 6 at 2pm in Clent village hall. This will be our open afternoon when we shall be serving afternoon tea to members and invited guests, whilst enjoying another fun quiz put together by former member, Eileen Bennett.
