RESIDENTS are being asked to be vigilant after a £13,000 BMW and items worth thousands of pounds were taken in a car key burglary incident near Stourbridge.

The grey BMW 318 M Sort, registration YC59 ZCV, was stolen along with two laptops, worth £400 and £500, a £250 iPod Touch, a £900 black Mulberry handbag, a £300 brown Mulberry purse, a Hugo Boss black leather wallet and bank cards from a property in Broome.

The incident, off Broome Lane, happened between 11pm on Wednesday January 15 and 6am yesterday (Thursday January 16).

Police say offenders got in after levering a window and took the keys to a BMW parked outside – which contained a child’s pushchair and car seat.

Officers from North Worcestershire Police have since been carrying out house to house inquiries and are urging residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour.

A man in a silver Volkswagen Golf is believed to have been seen acting suspiciously in the area the previous day.
