ONE of the regular sheep exhibitors at the Three Counties Show in Malvern for the past couple of decades has been Clent-based Jane McMinn and last weekend's three-day show saw her add more certificates and rosettes to her growing tally over the years.

This time round, in partnership with Kevin Hammett under the Warham Court Farms banner, their ram lamb was adjudged the Dorset Downs breed champion.

Jane, who was a consultant radiologist at Birmingham’s City Hospital until she retired five years ago, said: “We’re very pleased to win. We only have a small flock of around 30 Dorset Downs on the farm at Calcot Hill. It’s more like a hobby flock with them which makes this success even more special.”

However, the Warham Court Farms partnership is a much bigger concern overall with 450 commercial ewes. They have 200 acres at Clent and a further 700 acres within the partnership.
