IT was party time in Hagley this week as homeowners, staff members and guests joined together to celebrate the first birthday of a retirement living development.
Housebuilder McCarthy and Stone is celebrating 12 months since first opening the doors at its Sanderson Court home in Park Road.
To commemorate the milestone, a number of people were invited to enjoy a glass of bubbly and a slice of birthday cake, while live entertainment was also provided to get everyone in the party spirit.
A raffle was also held in aid of Mary Stevens Hospice and raised £113.50 to help the Stourbridge-based charity continue to offer patients with incurable or life-limiting illnesses the opportunity to enjoy their lives to the fullest.
Shelley Morewood, sales executive at Sanderson Court, said: “It was great to mark this important occasion with our homeowners, team members and guests.
“Everyone here is incredibly proud to live at Sanderson Court and, over the last 12 months, a strong sense of community spirit has developed among homeowners, so everyone made the most of this cause for celebration.”
